📣 Borgermøde og workshop om ny nationalpark i Vestgrønland
Departementet for Miljø og Natur, Naturinstituttet (Pinngortitaleriffik) og Kommune Qeqertalik inviterer til borgermøde og workshop på Sømandshjemmet i Aasiaat tirsdag d. 10. juni 2025 kl. 19.00–21.00.
Her vil en ny rapport om brugerinteresser og naturværdier i området blive præsenteret. Derefter får borgerne mulighed for at komme med input til det videre arbejde.
Nationalparken ønskes etableret på baggrund af et fælles ønske fra Qeqqata Kommunia og Kommune Qeqertalik. Det foreslås, at nationalparken placeres i det østlige landområde mellem Kangerlussuaq og Diskobugten, langs indlandsisen.

📣 Public Meeting and Workshop on New National Park in West Greenland
The Ministry of Environment and Nature, the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources (Pinngortitaleriffik), and Kommune Qeqertalik will host a public meeting and workshop at the Seamen’s Home in Aasiaat on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025 from 19:00 to 21:00.
At the meeting, a new report on user interests and natural values in the area will be presented. Citizens will then have the opportunity to provide their input for the ongoing planning process.
The national park is proposed in response to a joint request from Qeqqata Kommunia and Kommune Qeqertalik. It is suggested that the park be located in the eastern inland area between Kangerlussuaq and Disko Bay, along the edge of the ice sheet.
